We Can Help Make Hearing Aids a Financial Reality

Woman and man in a field with sun going down. Woman is holding man from behind in a familiar way as he laughs.

Hearing aids are an essential device for reconnecting with the world around you, but they often come with a hefty price tag. This may be part of the reason why only 30 percent of adults 70 and older and 16 percent of adults 20-69 who could benefit from hearing aids have ever used them. At Puget Sound Ear Nose and Throat, we don’t want hearing loss treatment to be out of reach for any patient, which is why we offer several options for covering the cost of hearing aids.

Northwest Access Fund

The Northwest Access Fund offers financial services for seniors and people with disabilities in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Their offerings include low-interest loans for hearing aids and other assistive technology for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Private Insurance

Typically, hearing aids are not covered by medical insurance plans, but every plan is unique. Your insurance might offer full or partial coverage for hearing aids.

You can find out if your plan covers hearing aids by reviewing your current benefits or contacting your insurance company. You might also have the option of adding on hearing aid coverage.
